In early 2012, Pilgrim Surf + Supply opened its doors in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on what was at that time a quiet corner near longtime neighbours and businesses.  Over the years, the shop grew into a sort of gathering space, as well as a business, for surfers, friends and the community.  The store hosted artists, filmmakers, musicians, writers, and surfers. Shortly after, Pilgrim the clothing brand got off the ground working with a few small factories in the Garment District. They work with small factories and maintain relationships with manufacturers at each level of production, using recycled and upcycled fabrics as much as is practical, and keeping the order volumes low to minimize waste. These relationships have helped build collections that bring unique fabrics to heritage staples, produced with extreme attention to detail, with a focus on durability and function.
